Christoph Hanssen graduated as Master of Law in 1996 (University of Leuven) and obtained a Master after Master degree in 1997 (Vlerick management school - Ghent University).
He started working for elegis in 1997 and was admitted to the Antwerp Bar in 1997.
Christoph Hanssen specialises in commercial law and company law. He has wide-ranging experience in assisting shareholders and board members at Board meetings and in shareholder meetings, with shareholder disputes and procedures, with transfer of family businesses, etc. He also frequently advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, transfer of undertakings, investments, buyouts, incorporation of joint ventures and cooperation agreements.
He advises foreign and domestic companies with negotiating and drafting of all commercial contracts. He serves family businesses, SMEs and large international companies.
Christoph Hanssen is i.a. active member of TerraLex (International network of Law firms), Transeo (European Organisation for SME transfer), and VOKA and frequently participates in meetings of these organisations in Belgium and abroad. In TerraLex, he is a member of several practice groups i.a. the « European and International M&A Practice group ». He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences both in Belgium and abroad.
